ABOUT TRACK
A lonely and black tower, half-hidden in the darkness, shrouded in an extremely gloomy, oppressive atmosphere... There is smoke, there is steam, and flames, and a scream, and a grinding sound in the darkness, and someone’s whisper; there is fire, and ice, and dead trees.At its base, the giant gate has a moat infested with king cobras; also, black crows and bats. There are demons and monsters, witches and sorcerers. Perhaps there is someone else in the tower itself, and the lights from the lit candlesticks are visible; from the tower, myriads of eyes look at the viewer... But the main magician and sorcerer did not choose his path himself – people forced him to do this, and the witcher uses his black magic for protection rather than for attack. He is an exile, a recluse, an outcast because his worldview does not coincide with the opinion of the majority; therefore, he snarls with caustic, bitter, caustic truth against universal injustice, coldness and callousness (unwittingly becoming bad and evil himself). He is driven into a corner, he opposes himself, his principles to the whole world, the System, and is very offended that society sees in him only flaws, vices, shortcomings, as if he has absolutely no qualities, virtues and talents. It was not for nothing that this unrecognized genius chose a tower as his stronghold: towers and caves are the lot of loners. The sorcerer's gaze is filled with revenge, hatred and malice – but at the same time – regret, pain, fatigue, sadness, melancholy, torment, suffering, remorse. But just as in “Yin and Yang” there is neither absolute evil nor absolute good, so the sorcerer hopes that one day he will be accepted for who he is, and the Lady he loves will reciprocate. Then the tower will turn into a beautiful castle, and the moat will become a marvelous, clean reservoir, and the cobras will turn into swans faithful to each other for life, and the crows will become swallows, and the bats will become kind fairies. And the trees will bloom, and all darkness around will dissipate.

ABOUT ALBUM
“The Shadowarden Of The Witchtower” is a 2024 music album composed and recorded by Lars Gert and in the thrash/death metal genre. The topics are mostly topical (with some exceptions). Powerful tracks are “7 Chapels Of Hell”, “Witch’s House”, “Hannibal The Cannibal” - this is his magnum opus, the ideas of which have been worked on for over 10 years. Other tracks on this long play have no less impressive riffing and complex structure. The composition “The Dream Of The Philosopher” is the only calm thing on this release. The composition “Lemmy The Motörbiker” is almost entirely made in d-beat, dedicated to Lemmy Kilmister and inspired by the work of “Motörhead”.
